The poem by John Keats, “A thing of beauty is a joy forever” inspires me every day. We source our flowers from all around the country with a few coming from as far as the hills and the valleys of the Northeast. Most come directly from passionate farmers who constantly diversify their stock with cherry-picked samples from the tropics of Asia. On special occasions and on request, we import exclusive flowers from Australia, South Africa and South East Asia. If you walk into our store, you could be surprised by Artichokes, heliconias, Arum lilies, Cymbidium orchids, Gloriosa lilies, Spider orchids, Musa flowers and tropical ginger flowers.
We also grow Sunflowers, Silver dollar eucalyptus, bajra (pearl millet) stalks and a lot of the exotic foliage that we use as fillers on our own farm. Morning time at Ohana resembles a busy, festive time in the back rooms of our boutique when all these fresh and fragrant bundles arrive. When they do arrive at the dock, they are hardly a night old!
